Agile Project Management (AgilePM®) Foundation & Practitioner
- Course Duration: 30+h
- qualification: AgilePM
About this course
Introduction
Agile Project Management (AgilePM) is the world’s most widely used framework for Agile project management, and with good reason! Based on the Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM), AgilePM combines the flexibility and adaptability of Agile with a level of control and direction found in more traditional project management approaches. Not only that, but the framework is also easier on newcomers than alternatives like PRINCE2 Agile, making it an excellent choice for businesses that are new to the Agile methodology.
This course will take students through AgilePM before giving them a comprehensive understanding of how to apply it in practice. By passing the AgilePM Foundation and AgilePM Practitioner certification exams, a candidate will qualify for larger roles in Agile projects and even unlock new career and networking opportunities.
More about the course
This course is designed to prepare students to sit and pass the AgilePM Foundation and AgilePM Practitioner certification exams. Passing the Practitioner exam will demonstrate a student’s understanding not only of the key elements of the framework, but also how to apply them in practice.
In addition to practice exams, instructor-led videos, and other online training assets, students also receive free exam vouchers.
Benefits for Individuals
Being able to work in agile environments is becoming an increasingly important skill for project team members.
Given the approach’s widespread applicability, a prospective or experienced Agile project manager will find their skills in high demand.
However, the distinct principles and practices of Agile can seem strange to those more used to working with more rigid management structures.
This course helps students become fully certified AgilePM practitioners as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Certification in AgilePM is an excellent career move for both experienced and budding project managers.
The framework itself has proven to be demonstrably effective in ensuring projects deliver as much value as possible.
Once an AgilePM practitioner has enough experience in applying the framework, they can quickly unlock new responsibilities, as well as higher-paying job roles.
Benefits for Organizations
Agile is ideal for projects that experience greater volatility, have fewer resources, and require more immediate results.
It focuses on meeting iterative targets and reassessing project requirements, enabling more flexibility as well as immediate benefits as smaller goals are realized.
At the same time, it also offers tools and best practices for enabling top-down managerial control along with alignment between projects and strategic business goals.
This course offers the most efficient route for turning employees into fully certified AgilePM practitioners.
They will study Agile tools such as MoSCoW Prioritization and Timeboxing, which they can begin applying in their daily tasks.
Training alongside coworkers can also make it easier for students to retain what they learn while also making sure they are all familiar with the terminology and best practices of AgilePM.
